*AD I am very excited to share with you our goodies from the Lemon Drops Sweet Shop! I LOVE sweets (who doesn’t?!) but these sweets are special. They are all completely 100% Vegan and dairy-free. Not only that but all of the packaging is compostable. This includes the shipping bags, sweetie bags, sticky tape and confetti. Yes people – these sweets even come wrapped with confetti! I can’t be the only person here that gets excited by cute packaging right?!
It gets even better. The Lemon Drops Sweet Shop is a small business set up entirely due to the hard work of 18 year old Emily. She has been vegetarian herself for 2 years and moving towards a more vegan lifestyle. However, this made sourcing 100% vegan treats difficult. During lock-down 2020 while college was closed she put in hundreds of hours of research to find the right products and packaging. Not only that but she worked over time to fund the start-up of her business and studied for her food safety and allergens courses. This young lady is going places!
The sweets are of course delicious. There’s a great variety in the pick & mix bags which come in various sizes. We were gifted 3 of the party bags and they are fab. These would be perfect for party bags, wedding favours, Halloween treats, etc. The Multipack bags would be amazing in a goody hamper for Christmas! The prices are great too! The 100g party bags cost just £1.50 each. When you order 5 you get 1 extra bag free and when you order 10 you get 3 bags free!! Emily has kindly offered followers of Mum’s Family Fun a 15% discount with the code Katie15 when you order via the website (see link below). Discount valid for the next 3 months. Woohoo!
I don’t know many 18 year olds who not only set up their own business but also do everything in their power to make it as eco-friendly as they possibly can. During lockdown there was a drive to support local and it doesn’t get more local than this. Emily is based in my home town of Didcot. Youngsters like this are our future and totally deserve our support. Check out her website, buy her sweets, support a local business. You won’t regret it.
