Sprouts Play Barn

4 tier play frame at Sprouts Play Barn

Sprouts Play Barn is a huge soft play centre at Millets Farm near Frilford. It has 4 tiers of farmyard themed fun for children of all ages. Sprouts was opened in 2017 on the popular Millets Farm estate and has its own separate car park for easy access. This is probably the most well kept, clean soft play centre I have ever been to. It still looks brand new every time we visit. The staff clean the play equipment between each session every single day and as a result it’s in pristine condition.

The play barn has a designated area for under 5s with a floor piano, reflective pond, lights, mini slide and more.

Next to this is a role play area with 7 different ‘zones’. These are the stables, butchers shop, post office, garage, supermarket, ice cream shop and farmhouse kitchen. Baby Bear loves ‘fixing’ the tractor in the role play garage and the post office is fun too.

Higher up on the play frame you’ll find lots of learning opportunities. The panels on the frame teach children about trees, bees, farming and more. There is also information about the history of Millets. Consequently it really is quite a unique play frame!

One of my favourite parts of the play frame is the storm tunnel. As you crawl through the tunnel it flashes lightning forks and rumbles with thunder. Its brilliant!

Big Bro’s favourite part of the play frame without a doubt is the sports court. He loves playing football and basketball up there. There are various goals and targets for different games, therefore he can spend ages up there.

The 4-lane wavy cow slide is good fun. We all love to have races and go flying down it! Again I love the cow print to tie in with the farmyard theme. Literally every little detail has been carefully planned here.

Even the roof of the play barn is painted with blue skies and cloud lights hand from the ceiling. There are plenty of picnic benches for adults to sit and watch while children play. They are all painted pretty colours and kept clean by the staff throughout your session. Overall this is honestly the cleanest soft play ever.

Outside you can find a garden area with ride on toys and play house. Baby Bear loves to follow the twisty path on the balance bikes. Riding down the little hill is also great fun!

If you get peckish during your play session the cafe offers a range of hot and cold drinks and food options. We’ve tried some of the paninis and they were good. There are lots of homemade cakes to choose from too. Prices are about the same as you’d pay in most soft play centres.

The toilets at Sprouts Play Barn are unisex so toilet trips are easy for families. Most important is that there are loads of baby changing rooms. You’ll find small child size toilets and sinks that look like water fountains too.

The Verdict

Personally Sprouts Play Barn is one of my favourite soft play centres in the area. It is so clean and well looked after. There is plenty for all ages to enjoy and the theming is just gorgeous. The staff are really friendly and helpful, plus they do birthday parties too. As an added bonus you’ve got the rest of Millets Farm to explore right outside the door! Consequently, we are regular visitors!
