Having teenagers stuck at home during the lockdown is tough. Trying to keep them entertained without the use of screens is almost impossible! I have asked my fellow bloggers for some ideas though and they’ve come up trumps for me. Here are some great lockdown activities for teens.

Human Voice Bank
Becky from Family Budgeting has suggested teenagers could donate their voice to the human voicebank. I had never heard of this before but it’s actually a really cool thing to do! You can record your voice at home easily via the online virtual studio. It is then used by scientists to help those who are unable to form words properly to have a voice of their own by combining your voice with theirs to make a unique voice.
Transform an old pair of jeans into a denim skirt! This is a fab way to upcycle a pair of jeans. Perhaps they’ve worn through the knee or could a stain on? You could accessorise the skirt to make it completely unique too. Here are the instructions on how to do it: Denim skirt
Jess from Tantrums To Smiles had the great idea of getting the teens to cook a meal. They could plan it and get together the ingredients then cook it themselves. You could even go so far as to set up a home restaurant. Set the table with your best crockery, print menus and dress in your best clothes. Make a night of it!
Similar to the cooking idea above, get them in the kitchen baking goodies for all the family. You could even set a Great British Bake Off style challenge. Put a timer on and then have Mum and Dad ‘judge’ their creations.
Fiona at Miss Penny Money points out that we’re all in this together so sit down with your teens and make a plan. Check your food stock and plan meals together. Create a list of tasks that need to be completed and allocate tasks to each member of the family. Work as a team to keep yourselves on track and look after each other.
