January seemed to fly by this year, despite the gloomy wet weather, so we are already hurtling towards half term. I’m really hoping we get a few dry days and a peak of sunshine! I’m excited to have a week off work to spend with the kids, so we’ve got a few days out planned. Here’s a list of what’s on in the Oxfordshire February half term to keep you all busy!
Saturday 15th February
- Science Saturday at Oxford University Museum of Natural History. Meet scientists and handle specimens from a range of topics. 2-4pm, no booking required. FREE entry!
- Family Day at Science Oxford, suitable for all the family. Enjoy the hands-on interactive exhibits and then explore the woodlands outside. Sessions 10am-12pm, 12:30-2:30pm and 3-5pm. £8 per person, under 3s free. Book in advance here.
- Wild Trackers nature club at Science Oxford for children aged 5-9 years and their accompanying adult. Learn how to track different animals and make a Plaster of Paris print to take home. Sessions 10-11:30am, 12:30-2pm, 3-4:30pm. £14 per ticket (1 adult and 1 child). Book here.

- Brick building workshops at Millets Farm for 5-12 year olds. Let their imaginations come to life with 3 building challenges! 10am-12pm and 1:30-3:30pm, £18 per child (including 1 accompanying adult). Book here.
- The Romans Are coming! to the Museum of Oxford. Make your own Roman helmet, learn about Roman coins, handle objects and explore the galleries. Activities will be running 11am-1pm and cost £1.50 per child. Booking in advance advised to secure your child’s place.
