We were very lucky to be gifted a Christmas teepee sleepover experience with Peony Parties last weekend and WOW it was fabulous! Peony Parties provide themed teepee sleepovers, gorgeous bell tent hire and picnic set-ups. Currently they have Christmas, Halloween, Movie Magic, Boho Chic and Tropical Vibes themes available, with more planned for the future. The attention to detail on bringing these themes to life is superb.
Our Christmas sleepover included 3 teepees for my 3 children aged 3, 9 and 12. The handcrafted teepees are UKCA/CE compliant so they are super safe and they look lovely. It was surprising how lightweight they are too! Sarah sent me the dimensions so I could measure my room first to make sure they would fit. Each one needs 1 metre width and up to 170cm length. There are 3 lengths available depending on the size of your kids thanks to the clever mattresses she uses. We had one of each length as my 3 kids are all different heights.
The mattresses have mattress protectors and then cotton sheets over the top. Each one has a 4.5 tog duvet and super comfy pillow, as well as a themed throw and cushions. The kids were so comfy and cosy in their beds they all slept like a dream.
The teepees are also decorated with fairy lights and garlands and come with a tray each. On the trays we had a little festive lantern with battery operated tea light, place mat, milk bottle and straws, mini Christmas tree, Christmas cracker and skiing gonks. They looked so cute! They were perfect for the kids to have their snacks on while we watched a movie. We watched Slumberland on Netflix which we really enjoyed. Who doesn’t love a bit of Jason Momoa?!
We had the most magical evening I could have wished for. The kids wanted to keep the tents forever, it was so lovely! We are certainly feeling the festive spirit now. Our matching Grinch pyjamas, in case you’re wondering, were from Home Bargains (yes I have some too!). This was such a lovely experience to enjoy together in our own home and I cannot recommend it enough. You could do this with siblings, cousins or friends. It’s a lovely way to celebrate a special occasion. Peony Parties can even provide extras such as cookies and brownie stacks!
Sarah came to set up the teepees on Saturday afternoon at a convenient time for me. Set up takes 1-2 hours depending on how many teepees you have. She left a box of spare batteries for me in case any of the fairy lights ran out (they didn’t) which was really useful. Sarah did a risk assessment with me before she left and gave me safety advice such as switching off the fairy lights when the kids go to bed etc. She was very thorough. With any party set-up that you hire, its important to check out the safety compliance and insurance of the company you use. Peony Parties are very aware of that and their safety precautions were excellent. I had no concerns whatsoever and wouldn’t hesitate to use them for a party again in the future.
