The Bounce Park

The Bounce Park is a huge 4,762 foot inflatable amusement park based at Willowbrook Leisure Centre, Didcot. I have seen it advertised loads so last weekend we went along with some friends to check it out.

The Bounce Park is open every weekend, school holidays and bank holidays. The hourly sessions run from 10am-5pm. Aim to arrive 15 minutes before your session so you have time to book in and get your bounce socks on before your session begins. You have to purchase bounce socks direct from The Bounce Park which cost an extra £2.50 per pair. Rather than purchasing them again, you can reuse the socks on future visits.

The inflatable Bounce Park is made up of 12 different activities. These include The Wrecker, The Tower, The Drop and obstacle course, as well as an under 5s area.

My kids LOVED the big slides that drop down into a ball pit. Baby Bear has absolutely no fear and therefore happily threw himself down there over and over again.

He also really enjoyed the human ‘Hungry Hippos’ style activity with his friends. They had great fun trying to grab the balls from the middle.

The jungle themed area for under 5s is super cute. It has hippos, a little slide, mini ball pit, a dinosaur tunnel, etc. It’s a great place for little ones where they can play safely away from the bigger kids.

I would advise taking water bottles with you because believe me you’ll need them! It’s a great work out and certainly burnt off lots of energy. One hour is enough time to have a good few goes on everything.

The Bounce Park was great fun, but I’m glad I managed to find half price tickets (now sold out). I must admit I probably wouldn’t have paid full price. In my opinion, its a lot of money for 1 hour on a giant bouncy castle. For a family of 4 plus socks its a total of £55, which all in all I think is a lot. This is on a par with most trampoline parks, hence I guess this is what they’ve based the price on. It’s a fun activity, well maintained, staff were pleasant, so no complaints in that respect.
