October Half Term Challenge: Day 3

Today Daddy had the day off work so instead of staying at home we decided to head off to Millets Farm for the morning.  Millets is great for a free day out as there is a park and lots of animals to see including goats, pigs, ponies, alpacas and rheas, as well as a large garden centre and farm shop. On the downside though the place was absolutely heaving today. We’ve been there hundreds of times over the years and I’ve never seen it so busy. The kids were queuing for ages just to get on a swing or go down the slide.

We did enjoy seeing the Christmas decorations in the garden centre though. They are amazing every year but this year we especially loved the Narnia area.

We also came across 3 singing reindeer which we’ve never seen before and a lovely unicorn seat.

My absolute fave picture from todays fun though has to be this one:

Just look at Cody’s face!

No trip to Millets is complete without one of their delicious homemade cakes so our last stop before heading home was the farm shop. Cody chose a ghost biscuit, Lois had a slice of ‘pretty cake'(yes that is it’s actual name!) and Lily had toffee apple cake. Not free of course but a yummy treat to enjoy after lunch.

What did you get up to today? Hope you are enjoying your half term ?
