Wow it’s been hot this week and set to continue for the weekend! We are looking forward to a meal at the Ashmolean Museum Rooftop Restaurant on Saturday night. Do you have any plans? There are some great local events in Oxfordshire lined up here:
Saturday
- National Trust Food Festival and Big Picnic at Coleshill Estate 11am – 6pm. Variety of food stalls and talks as well as workshops and tastings. Live music, treasure trails, bubble blowing, arts and crafts and more. Adults £4 Children free if purchased in advance or £3 on the door.
- Wantage Armed Forces Day 11:30am-7:30pm in the Market Place. Military band, live entertainment and interactive activities for all the family. FREE
- Blackwells children’s book fair at Millets Farm from 10am including a reading of ‘Dragon Raises His Head’ with musical instruments and a dancing dragon at 1pm.
- Benson village fayre 12-3pm. Zorbing, inflatable obstacle course, tug of war, BBQ, stalls and games. FREE entry.
- Morgan & West magic show for kids at Cornerstone 2pm.
Sunday

- It’s Always Tea Time exhibition at The Story Museum, Oxford walking into the world of Alice In Wonderland. Follow a picture trail, enjoy a tea party, listen to tales from a giant tea cup and take part in a variety of themed events. Friday 30th March – Saturday 7th July 2018.
- Artists Under Fire exhibition at Banbury Museum. Prints, drawings and watercolours from the Ashmolean Museum’s collection depicting life on the front line during WWI. Open daily Mon-Sat 10am-5pm. Entry £5 for adults, £2 children (under 5s free). Saturday 23rd June – Monday 27th August 2018.
