We were very lucky to be invited along to the opening of High Lodge Farm’s Easter Trail this weekend! We have been to several events at High Lodge Farm in Culham and always love the home-made, no frills, relaxed feel of it. Just good simple outdoor fun!

This year’s Easter Trail, however, has stepped it up a gear! There’s now a longer trail through the woods and the addition of lots of fun activities to have a go at along the way, which we loved! There are chalk boards, balancing planks, wind chimes, a rope maze, climbing wall and long logs to walk along too.

Our favourite activity though was the rope swing which was great fun! There are several of them throughout the woods.

We also had a great fun racing each other along the tyres. It got very competitive amongst the siblings!

The pictures of rabbits and other Easter scenes throughout the woods are very cute. My particular favourite was the rabbit flying a carrot aeroplane! Some of the pictures have letters on them which you write on your trail sheet. Unscramble the letters to work out the code word and claim your prize!

As well as the trail through the woods there are some giant hay bales, a sand pit, mini wheelbarrows and lots of giant garden games to enjoy. You can also pay an additional £3 per person to have a ride on the barrel tractor ride. My kids love it!

You can find several refreshments trucks selling hot food and drinks, or you are welcome to bring a picnic. There are lots of benches to sit and relax while the kids play. You can stay all day! There are decent portaloo toilets as well (the fancy ones you get at weddings, not the grubby festival ones 😉).

The Verdict
We were really impressed with this year’s Easter Trail at High Lodge Farm. I absolutely love the addition of the activities through the woods. It got all the kids involved, even my teenagers had fun! Definitely a fantastic improvement that I hope they continue.
