21st-25th July

  • Family archaeology day with The Wallingford Historical and Archaeological Society (52 High Street, Wallingford) 11-4pm Saturday 24th July. Meet the experts, bring along your own fossils to find out more about them lots of activities to enjoy. No booking necessary.

26th July-1st August

  • Mini Makers cookery sessions at Millets Farm Centre on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th July, 9:30-12pm and 1:30-4pm. Children will make a variety of sweet and savoury goods including cheesecake, quiche and scones. These workshops are aimed at age 4-11 year olds. Booking essential.
  • Anglo Saxon family day at Vale & Downland Museum (Wantage) Wednesday 28th July.
  • Roarsome dinosaur crafts and activities at Millets Farm Centre Thursday 29th July. Paint your own dinosaur money box, make a mask and join in with games and stories. £6.99 per child.

Find the lost words hidden around the centre and complete the activities to rescue them. Live storytelling sessions at 11am and 1pm. Activities aimed at children aged 4-11 years.   • Millets Farm Centre maize maze is open daily from Tuesday 20th July – Sunday 5th September 9:30-5:30pm (last entry 3:30pm). 2 giant maize mazes, 3 woodlands, fort maze, trampolines, pedal karts, crazy golf and more. Book in advance here.
  • The Beach at Notcutt’s Garden Centre (Oxford) Friday 23rd July – Tuesday 31st August. Huge sand pit free to enter. Fair ground rides wristband costs £6.99 per child for unlimited rides. Sessions 11-2pm and 2-5pm daily.

  1. Hi there. I was interested in going to the raf play day on 28th august. Your blog says no booking required, but when I looked online for more details, it said booking was required. Just thought you should know.
