What’s On In Oxfordshire Easter Holidays 2022

The Oxfordshire Easter holidays are here and I’m so excited to see so many events ‘springing’ up across the county! I think this is probably the most events I’ve seen since pre-covid times and I’m so happy to feel life is getting back to normal. I’ll continue to add to this post as more and more events appear so remember to bookmark it and check back again. Events that are running daily for the entire holidays are listed at the bottom of the post. So many Easter trails to enjoy. Have fun!

Saturday 9th April

Sunday 10th April

  • Eggstravaganza messy party at Sutton Courtenay Village Hall 10:30-11:30am. Lots of messy Easter fun and an Easter egg hunt. Suitable for children aged 6 months- 5 years. Book tickets here.

Monday 11th April

  • Enjoy bug themed crafts and specimen handling at Oxford Natural History Museum 1-4pm. FREE.

Tuesday 12th April

  • Mini Makers cookery class for kids at Millets Farm 1:30-4pm. They will get to make flowerpot muffins, pastry tarts, mini Easter trifle, plus a Spring planting activity. £30 per child (includes accompanying adult). Recommended for age 4-11 year olds. Book here.
  • Enjoy bug themed crafts and specimen handling at Oxford Natural History Museum 1-4pm. FREE.

Wednesday 13th April

  • Family Easter trail at Sutton Courtenay Environmental Centre 10am-2pm. Follow the trail and help Mother Fox find her cubs to earn an Easter treat. The trail takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete. Tickets £4 per child. Book tickets here.
  • Easter Bunny craft workshop at the Etsy store in Didcot Orchard Centre 10:30-12pm. Workshop includes painting a wooden Easter Bunny hanging decoration, make a bunny pencil pot holder, design their own bunny character and create an Easter greetings card. Suitable for age 4 years+ and costs £18 per child. Tickets available here.
  • Craft activities at Abingdon County Hall Museum 10am-12pm and 1-3pm. Lots of Easter/Spring themed crafts to enjoy. No booking required, just drop in. FREE event (£1 donation suggested per child).

Thursday 14th April

  • Bunny run and family fun day at Park Club (Milton, OX1). 5k fun run for adults, games, competitions, food stalls, free face painting and the Easter Bunny! Please sign up in advance for the 5k Bunny run, all other activities just turn up on the day. FREE entry.
  • Science Oxford Family Day 10am-5pm. Tickets include 2 hours in the Exploration Zone followed by unlimited access to the woodland all day. Try out lots of interactive exhibits and science experiments. The water lab is also open outside for lots of fun water play. Tickets cost £6 per person or £20 for a family of 4, under 3s go free. Friday 15th April

  • Giant inflatable bounce park at Willowbrook Leisure Centre 9am-7:30pm. Suitable for age 2 years + (2-4 year olds must be supervised by a paying adult). Sessions are 1 hour long and cost £11.95 per person. Book tickets here.
  • Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary Easter egg trail. 11-12:30pm and 1-3:30pm. £3 per child with a chocolate prize included.

Saturday 16th April

  • Oxfordshire Wildlife Rescue Spring Fayre at Chilton Village Hall 10am-4pm. Easter egg hunt, bouncy castles, Easter races, mini Olympics and more. £2 adults, kids free. All proceeds go to the charity.
  • Superstars of Wrestling at Didcot Civic Hall 7:30-9:30pm. Live action wrestling show. Book tickets here.
  • Giant inflatable bounce park at Willowbrook Leisure Centre 9am-7:30pm. Suitable for age 2 years + (2-4 year olds must be supervised by a paying adult). Sessions are 1 hour long and cost £11.95 per person. Book tickets here.
  • Easter Rhyme Time at Didcot Library 2-2:30pm. FREE drop in session.

Sunday 17th April

  • Go Green Family Day at Vale And Downland Museum, Wantage 10am-12pm and 1-3pm. Find out about renewable energy sources, do crafts with recycling materials and plant a sunflower. £5 per child, accompanying adults free. Please book in advance here as spaces limited.

  • St George’s Day market in Wantage Market Place 10am-4pm. Lots of stalls, parade, raffles, fancy dress competition etc. FREE event.
  • Family trail, crafts and more at Oxford Natural History Museum 2-4pm. FREE entry.

Daily Events

  • Easter trail at Tumblestone Hollow, Stonor Park 9th – 24th April. Follow the trail, solve the puzzle and receive a treat. Book tickets here.
  • Easter Trail in Didcot on behalf of Northbourne School PTA 9th – 24th April. Trail sheets available from Rachel’s Cafe on Cockcroft Road for £1 each. Find all the toys holding an Easter Egg hiding in the windows. All completed entries handed in by 3pm on Thursday 28th April will be entered into a prize draw. Proceeds go to Northbourne School.
  • Farmer Carter’s Courtyard at Millets Farm 9th – 23rd April. 7 quizzes to complete, crazy golf, go karts, pedal tractors, trampolines, sandpits, woodland areas and more. Book tickets here.
  • Easter Trail at High Lodge Farm, Culham (OX14 3BN) 9th – 24th April. Spot the Easter bunnies along the woodland walk and collect a treat at the end. Also includes hay bale fun, lambs, tea, coffee and cake. 10am-5pm, £5 per person. No need to book.
  • Easter fun at Fairytale Farm 9th – 24th April. Mother Goose’s Garden, Egg hunt bingo, Rabbit handling sessions, crafts, plus meet the Easter Bunny 15th-18th April.
  • Easter Trail on behalf of Wantage CE Primary School 9th – 23rd April. Pick up a trail sheet for £1 from Vale and Downland Museum. Find the Easter Egg pictures around the town to crack the secret code.
  • Eggstraordinary Easter Eggventure at Natural History Museum Oxford 9th – 24th April. Spot the eggs around the museum, trail sheets available at the entrance. Entry is FREE.
  • Easter trail in the village of Warborough on behalf of Warborough and Shillingford Preschool. 9th-24th April. Maps cost £1 and can be purchased from the post office (OX10 7DD).
  • Drayton scarecrow trail 15th-24th April. Maps cost £1 from Mace Shop (Abingdon Road).
