*AD PR visit. We were very excited to be invited to see Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World at the Oxford Playhouse this weekend. The show is currently part way through its UK tour after a successful Autumn 2021 premiere. This inspiring girl power production is based on the popular books by Kate Pankhurst (who realised in her twenties that she was related to the famous Suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst!). I need to buy the books after seeing this show!

Incredible women from history are brought to life on stage – from Rosa Parks to Marie Curie to Frida Kahlo and more – when inquisitive heroine Jade discovers the Gallery of Greatness on a school trip. The show is informative about each historical figure we meet in a fun, musical way that really appeals to kids. I actually learned things about the women that I had never heard before so it was both informative and enjoyable to watch.

The songs in the show are super catchy. You will be tapping your feet and clapping your hands along – believe me! My favourite thing was the use of colours. Such a vibrant show full of bright colours and lights. It was so uplifting and so inspiring at the same time.

This show is really family friendly and a must see if you want to inspire your kids. It was Baby Bear’s first time to the theatre and he loved it – we all did! The show is approximately 80 minutes long with no interval. All the kids (and grown-ups!) were kept enthralled throughout.
